KERRY COUNTY BOARD AWARDS 2007

St. Mary's Basketball Club was hugely successful at the Area board award presentation night, which was held in the Castle Bar Tralee on Friday night last. The Premier ladies picked up their Shield and Cup having won both league and Championship, as did the Division one men who had also won both. Tracey Hartnett was named as Premier league player of the year while Noelle Scanlon was named MVP for the Cup final, Danielle. Ruaraí Rahilly was named division one men’s player of the year while Daniel Griffin picked up MVP for the Cup. 

St. Mary's also received the two area board Merit awards with Donal Duke O'Connor being awarded his for his dedication to basketball in the county and in particular for his work with the Annual Christmas Blitz while Liz Galwey received her award for dedication to the sport in particular for the promotion of Basketball during her time as PRO for Kerry Area Board.
